Turbidity Monitoring Stations
In partnership with Community Rivers Planning Coalition, the
Homer District has contracted with Coble Geophysical Services
to place two, online turbidity monitoring stations at the North
and South Forks of the Anchor River. These stations monitor turbidity,
precipitation, and water temperature at 15-minute intervals and
will aid in the understanding of the relationship between land
use development and watershed health. This information is available
on line at Coble Geophysical Services’ website, http://home.gci.net/~cgs/.
