Snow Surveys

The Homer Distict assists the Natural Resources Conservation Services with snow surveys on the lower Peninsula and across Kachemak Bay. This monitoring program is part of a long-term effort to collect precipitation, snowpack depth and other weather and climate parameters. One application of this information is streamflow forcasting.
