Now in its fourth year, this unique partnership with the Kenai Peninsula Borough
School District is developing students who are competent in science-based
ecological management of environmental and natural resources.
Offered at Homer High, the course gives students a practical
alternative to traditional science and vocational classes with
expanded opportunities for field trips, building leadership skills
through FFA chapter activities, participating in conferences
and competitions regionally and nationally, and by applying classroom
instruction to resolving current issues.
