Cooperation with Natural Resource Conservation District

Since 2004, the Homer District has been cooperating with the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) to provide cost-share programs to landowners within the District boundaries. The Contribution Rate Agreement allows District staff to produce Annual Status Reviews for NRCS contracts, manage NRCS database information, sponsor public meetings and educate landowners about NRCS programs. The District also assists prospective applicants to develop background resource information necessary for completing applications and contract requirements.
